Garlic Chives

$6.00
Out of Stock

3 or more bulbs for planting

Allium tuberosum

Garlic Chive or Chinese Leek is a perennial member of the Allium family with flat garlicky leaves, used extensively for food in other parts of the world. The flowers are beautiful and beloved by pollinators. Garlic Chives do well in many different soil types and discourage the spread of Japanese beetles, slugs, aphids and cabbage worms. Deer do not like alliums, so in an effort to discourage browsing of trees and other perennials, we have planted many in our food forest. Hardy to Zone 4 and will self-seed and spread.
